Rebecca Manseau

BIO
Described as having a "heart-gripping sound," American soprano Rebecca Manseau brings warmth, sincerity, psychological depth and technical acuity to her performances. Recently heard as Mimì, Suor Angelica, and Fiordiligi on American and European stages, her repertoire also includes Tatiana, Rusalka, Micaëla, Contessa Almaviva, Donna Elvira, Ariadne, and Agathe in concert performances. Her recital work spans Duparc, Rachmaninoff, Puccini, Verdi, Barber, Wolf, and Richard Strauss, including the Vier letzte Lieder. She has trained with leading artists such as Dr. Joshua May, Jorge Balca, Sandra Leupold, Byron Knutson, Dr. Howard Watkins, Yury Ilinov, Caroline Dowdle, Jennifer Larmore, W. Stephen Smith, and Eva Randová. A prizewinner of the Gabriela Beňačková International Vocal Competition, NATSAA, and NATS, she has also been honored as a Fulbright, DAAD, and Dillard Scholar.
